Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 04/10/2017

Number: 1

At about 4:30pm it had been raining for a little while, but had just stopped, when I saw a little Ruby-throated Hummingbird outside the window. He was perched on the branch of a bush 2 feet from the window and was fluffing his wet feathers. He stayed there for a couple of minutes, preening and fluffing. He then flew down to some potted flowers and nectared from them for a bit ... then zoomed off. Was inspired to get my hummingbird feeder up and filled right away!
