My husband Dan and I live in Hastings, Nebraska, but we were in Aurora this morning to weed the prairie garden beds at Edgerton Explorit Center. We both simultaneously saw a faded monarch, presumably a remigrant, flying low to the ground and apparently searching for milkweed. A. tuberosa and A. sullivantii have been grown in the beds for the past 3-4 years, but no sprouts are visible yet.
