Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 04/15/2017

Number: 1

First sighting. The weather was in the low 70's. There is no milkweed up at all, just daffodils and there are a few small tulips where I saw it. I have also seen many skippers, both white and blue. Also, a butterfly or moth with the same coloring as a monarch , but smaller and with different shapes wings, more ruffley. Cape May Point is at the edge of the ocean and the Delaware Bay where we see a massive bird and butterfly migration in the fall. It was very warm yesterday (April 16) as well, but in the 60's today (April 17).
