All Other Signs of Spring
Sightings report image

Date: 04/17/2017

Number: 1

Personally, the “signs of spring” for me are mostly flora: bulbs, tree blossoms, and especially the spring ephemeral native wildflowers. On 2/28/17, I posted snowdrops and a crocus as our first harbingers of Spring. However, snows followed in March. Nonetheless, by 4/3/17, we had forsythia, hepatica, and dwarf iris, among others, in bloom. Now, two weeks later, it’s getting difficult to keep track of every new “sign of spring.” The photo displays a few of our recent arrivals.
