Today, I collected 192 monarch eggs laid on common, poke, honeyvine, butterfly, and swamp milkweeds that have just barely emerged from the ground over the last few days. Nearly every shoot of milkweed I checked had at least one egg. Many shoots had 3-4 eggs.
