Tulips BLOOMED
Sightings report image

Date: 04/16/2017

Number: 1

Only 1 tulip of about 75 bloomed on April !7th. We left the tulip bed from last year in the ground so we could compare old and new bulbs. The old tulips bloomed the same day as the new ones, but many more from the old plot bloomed that day. Not sure why. There was a scarecrow in front of the old bed. Perhaps that warmed the bed. Or maybe the age of the bulbs was a factor. Students are writing stories about Chester the scarecrow and their tulips.
