Sightings report image

Number: 1

We actually started this garden back in 2015. Intended to be a fairly small plot (about 1,000 sq. ft.), it quickly great almost 3,000. It now contains at least six varieties of milkweed (those we know came back this year) as well as Asters, Zinnias, and many others. The milkweed types are:

Spider Milkweed
Swamp Milkweed
Joe Pye Weed
Butterfly Weed
Silkweed
Common Milkweed

I suspect it will continue to grow until it occupies the majority of our available property. It's currently registered as "Butterflies, Bunnies, and Bees, Oh My" with MonarchWatch.
