Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 04/20/2017

Number: 1

This little female Monarch is very faded and missing a portion of her right upper wing.

I watched for about 30 minutes while she frantically left eggs on A perennis, A texana, Purple mw, Common mw, A tuberosa, Swan mw and tropical mw. She seemed to prefer the A perennis over all others. Finally, after leaving eggs everywhere, she stopped and sipped nectar from the fresh blooms of the A perennis mw.

I cannot possibly feed all of these Monarch cats when they hatch.... just don't have enough milkweed. I currently have 27 Monarch cats in various stages of development.
