Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 04/21/2017

Number: 1

The butterfy was attracted to our lunaria flowers(purple), which are growing wild next our yard.

I was shocked too. I believe that it was a monarch. It moved on very fast through our neighborhood. We have a large field of milkweed where it landed, but the plants were not up yet. We usually have monarch larvae every year there. And we have plenty of monarch butterflies. I have NEVER seen one this early. If it comes back I will try to take a shot for you.
