What a beautiful day here! Spring is in full swing. For Earth Day I decided to count how many birds I saw or heard in my yard. 6 Robins, 2 Mourning Doves, 6 Red-winged Blackbirds, 4 Common Grackles, 1 Meadowlark, 2 Tree Swallows, 3 Sandhill cranes flying over, 3 Pigeons, 3 Crows, 2 Killdeer, 2 Chipping sparrows, 2 Song sparrows, 1 Savannah sparrow, 4 Starlings, 2 Eastern Phoebes, 1 Cardinal and 6 Yellowlegs. Also saw several Red Admiral butterflies, 2 Cabbage Whites and 2 American or Painted Ladies. Everything is greening up.
