was smaller, about 3", darker and not as much color.
Only reported these sightings as they were unusually early and seemed to be the first sightings in this area.
Migration seems to be very early this year, as they were well ahead of host plant maturity - my asclepias tuberosa were as yet not sprouting. There was no place to lay eggs. They are now about 12" tall.
I saved seeds from last year and have 25 more started in pots.
