A beautiful male ruby-throated hummer came to my feeder. I put the feeder out on Monday, in anticipation of their arrival. Today, I was sitting on my deck and couldn't believe it. I heard his hum first, then he landed on the feeder, took a sip, flew to the tree. Then, he came back and squeaked at me as if to say hello, took another sip and left. This is the earliest i have ever had a hummer.
