Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 04/28/2017

Number: 1

Monarch Waystation #271 reports a faded female monarch laying eggs in my front yard today as I was gardening. Not sure if this is the same faded female previously reported as the first monarch or the first egg. She did not linger long, flew among my Purple milkweed, butterflyweed and common milkweed stalks, touch and go. I could only watch her on and off and the camera was not available --
was pretty muddy from the garden work. There are already eggs on the stalks that have not hatched, so tough to tell how many she might have added. She flew around the end of the building and may have laid eggs in the back yard as well, did not check. There were eggs previously laid back there as well.
