I think 4 hummers are still here but cannot see every feeder @ same time. One of the females (that I thought was a female has a dark area that is solid from middle neck area over just a little way & looked slightly "streaky". Think it is a Black-chinned (maybe) since wings-tips r rounded. I thought the males already had all of their color after 1st winter molt. Isn't it too early n season for any sub-adults? Has anyone ever seen females w a dark patch? Got to 47 degrees last night & only in 50's 2day w a lot of wind. Male B.C. w really territorial at feeder & fed every 5-6 mins. from 7:30pm-after 8pm. I'm sure they r burning up extra calories w cold weather. They do not do this when it goes back to the 70-80's. I have extra feeder's out. Suppose to be cold again 2morrow.
