"At 5:10 a.m. Sunday morning, Oquossoc game warden declared an ice-out for the Rangeley Lakes area.

Game Warden Patrick Egan reports that boats can go from the launch in Rangleley to the launch in Oquossoc.

The warden noted that there is still ice in Greenvale Cove.

An ice-out occurs when all the ice in a lake has broken up for the winter. It often marks the beginning of the fishing season."
