I left the dried stalks from last year's milkweed bed in the ground. New milkweed is now emerging from about 8-10 different stalks. This is about 2 weeks earlier than I recorded last year. About 6 milkweed have also emerged in our lawn, and in the ground cover area, another 6 to 8 milkweed emerging. By June of last year I had about 80 plants.
