Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 05/04/2017

Number: 4

All four eggs on one patch hatched today. All are happily munching away and I spotted a few pinprick holes on the leaves. I have enough early milkweed in the yard to sustain these hungry mouths, thank goodness! They survived freezing temperatures (I covered them with plastic containers), cold rain for four days, and a hailstorm that lasted about a half an hour yesterday that was ripping leaves off of trees. So happy they are alive and well!
