Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/08/2017

Number: 1

First Rubythroat Hummingbird of the season just arrived. Beat the Orioles even though they have been pretty much flying together!

My favorite bird of the summer!

May 13:
I sent a sighting in on May 8th and forgot to add that it was a female. It really surprised me. Didn't see it again until yesterday. Then this morning a male Ruby throat showed up. There is not much to eat here. We had some late freezes that got our apple trees and a lot of the lilacs. The crabapple trees did bloom and there are plum thickets in the area that are blooming. My flowers are not blooming yet so I went and bought a couple hanging baskets of stuff they like.

PS Your map of the Britton area is confusing. Hwy 10 also runs east out of town. Not 27. I also sent the correct GPS for our place so you can get the dot in the right place.
