This is a 2nd report for this day. Looking out to the front yard at about 2pm we saw a very faded monarch flying low and slowly over the grass.
At 4:30pm I saw a male nectaring and patrolling in the bottom pasture. I also saw a faded female with a torn wing laying eggs on milkweed along our driveway. This is a photo of her laying an egg. It was about 77 degrees F, mostly cloudy, humidity 55%, and light wind SE 8mph.
