Central Illinois saw Monarchs blown into our area from strong winds in mid April. I noted milkweed sprouting and eggs laid on April 14, 17, 18 and 19. Cold and rainy weather delayed eggs hatching and/or caterpillars growing. These 4 sizes are represented on the milkweed in our yard as of this afternoon.
