Hummingbird, Other Species Sighted

Date: 05/10/2017

Number: 2

At 1:55pm noticed a very small hummer. Tail very small & short (hardly had one). Wing-tips rounded on the end (which would suggest a young Black-chinned). No color or markings at all on neck or belly. Bill very thin & short. I could not see a de-curved beak which still may suggest young B.C. Feeding well at Perkey-pet feeder with bee guards removed. At 7:30pm a male B.C.feeding from Heatwave Salvia-Wing-Whirl heard. Still preferring flowers over feeders. Suppose to be colder tomorrow (Thurs.during the night in the 50's again). So may see a lot more feeding going on early Fri. AM. Will put an extra feeder out so all can feed.
