Three of the eggs that we took home on 4/12/17 have eclosed today. It took a month for them to develop into adults...isn't that a long time. They were held indoors at normal classroom temperature. The following it my post from 4/12 about collecting/observing.

(4/12/17) at Herff Farm, Boerne, TX. eight of us checked 757 milkweed plants and found 22 eggs, 3 first, 4 second, 5 third, 4 fourth, 1 fifth instars and saw 1 adult!
