Male bird singing away in a tree, in a nearby forest.
Despite putting feeders out that orioles can use for many years, they always manage to try only the ones that can't be used by orioles, and despite their determination, they finally leave, frustrated. So the next day (May 10th), I was very glad to witness for the first time ever, a male oriole successfully drinking from one of our hummingbird feeders (of course, still not the oriole feeder that is actually meant for him :-p).
Hope this means we will get more visitors this year in our yard, as we usually only get the odd bird, despite the perfect location for nesting and ready food.
