First milkweed sighted in a Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) field. The common milkweed was about 1 inch tall with other ones nearby. Looked at them today (5/15), they are almost three inches tall. With 80 degree F temperatures the next few days they should continue growing quickly. I have common golden alexander (native prairie wildflower)that will begin blooming in a few days nearby.
