Landed on 8" tall showy milkweed sprouts that are just starting to stick up above ground. Monarchs have been visiting this patch of milkweed for about 7 - 8 years. But here-to-fore it's been a summer phenomenon with successful fall hatches. this is the first time I've seen them here in the spring.
