Today I walked the roads around the impoundments from 10:30-3:00. The weather was humid, sunny to partly cloudy, and 85F. The primary nectar source was Brazilian Vervain (Verbena brasiliensis). There isn't as much milkweed now as there has been in years past at the same time, and it's about a week or two from flowering.
