Oriole (1st Baltimore)

Date: 05/16/2017

Number: 1

Male Baltimore oriole feeding on Quince bush flowers
This bird was also pecking at nearby windows of my house.
I believe this behaviour is caused by the oriole seeing its own reflection and perceiving that reflection as another male oriole threatening its territory.
Orioles have been attracted to the quince bush for a couple of years now.
Once the quince bush blossoms are gone so are the orioles.
