At approx 4 pm, mostly sunny light easterly wind and 23°c
Observed a monarch quickly fluttering from the west behind our home then turn north & flit 2'from me right past me & continued north across the road & out of view. I was about to leave on a bike ride so didn't have quick access to my cell phone to get a pic. I was standing right next to a small garden which has about 18 common milkweed about 2' tall. No interest in it or in the bloomed flowers.
