I observed 4 monarchs today during a one hour period. Wings were bright and fresh. Some were feeding on the butterfly bushes and others flying around. Today was mostly cloudy with temps in the low 80' with periods of rain. Note: Monarchs have been observed on most days over the past two weeks with 3 to 6 sightings per hour. There are still a few with lightly faded wings. It is really good to have them around as they are usually few in number or gone by early June. Our weather has been cooler and wetter than normal over the past two weeks. Nectar is plentiful. A few cool nights expected this week should keep them happy.
