I THINK it was probably a female, but it didn't stay long enough for me to get a photo or see that closely. I was walking my dogs and it kept circling and landing on some just-emerging blooms on my privet hedge.No blooms on my butterfly bushes yet. I have milkweed in my yard and checked for eggs, but didn't find any yet. I'm happy to finally see my first arrival! Sunny and upper 60's today.
