I was observing a mating pair of monarchs near a red clover patch in my CRP fields. In about a two minute span 5 other individual monarchs were feeding on red clover nectar at the same time. Still have not found any eggs as of yet. This past week I have been observing adult monarchs on a daily basis. How long does it take for the eggs to mature in the female monarch before she begins laying?
