Collected 16 monarch eggs between downpours today from showy, common and heart leaf milkweed in our yard. Have been watching for but have not seen a single adult butterfly. The eggs look small like they were recent.
Editor’s Note: An expert looked at this picture and questioned whether these are monarch eggs. On June 14th, the observer reported that they have not hatched yet. She did not see the definition in the eggs that she saw on the Monarch eggs she had last year. She did not see the butterfly (?) that laid them. She thinks it is possible they are another type of insect egg and will send photos as soon as one hatches.
