Sighted 1 monarch flying about our backyard for a few minutes.
It did not land on any milkweed or flowers, so did not get a chance to determine the sex. This was at noon today when it was partly cloudy. Checked syriaca for eggs anyway this evening and found none. But did find 2 black swallowtail eggs on our parsley.
