2 monarchs flying about prairie habitat between 5 & 6 pm. Several times they ran into each other and each time ended in a chase. Flowers currently in bloom are German Iris, Southern Blue Flag, Golden alexanders, Wild columbine, Virginia waterleaf, Geranium, Tower mustard, spiderworts, penstemons, Blue indigo, Solomon's plume, daylilies, Bradbury's monarda, Prairie Phlox, Prairie wild rose, peony, delphinium, red clover and bird's foot trefoil.
