Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/11/2017

Number: 1

Jersey Shore:
I feel both delighted and sorrowful. The weather has been horrible: solid rain and until now stretches of forty-one degree mornings. We skipped Spring and are now in full blast hot summer 95 degrees. The plants are budded up but none have bloomed. What do I feed this poor hapless butterfly? Will it sip a plate of hummingbird syrup I made?
Fortunately, the milkweed is all ready to bloom and there's lots of it.
