Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 06/09/2017

Number: 1

Saw this monarch getting nectar for quite a long time. It flew off. Not sure if the same one came back another two times or if three different ones visited the milkweed. Hard to tell if it was the same because we have milkweed and flowers in the front of our house and a lot of flowers in the back. They appeared to be females, just looking at the closed wings. They didn't cooperate by opening their wings until they flew away and too fast to see that side. Happy to finally see them. They were nice bright colors. Warm and sunny day.
