4:15 pm My husband and I sit on our patio frequently, and we have seen monarch butterflies in our yard off and on over the last 24 years. This was a definitely a monarch. I was surprised it was there, and we don't recall seeing any last year. It was so nice to see one again. We live by farm land, have at least 4 acres of farmland behind our home, a man made pond as well is near us, but I do not know if there is milkweed up and growing actively in these areas. Perhaps I will check it out in these areas and see if I can see any.
