Was looking out of my kitchen window when I saw a monarch fly over a hedge. It was heading north and it passed right over my common and swamp milkweed patch. It didn't look like it stopped to nectar as it flew right through the yard, northward, as if on a mission. I checked milkweed and there was no sign of eggs.
