These 2 caterpillars are less than a week old. They have not yet developed the characteristic markings. I almost didn't see them as I examined the underside of the milkweed leaves. I had noticed pin hole tell tail signs of chewing on the leaves. I have been raising monarchs for a few years and have only had one fail due to arrested development at the "J" hanging stage.
