Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 06/13/2017

Number: 2

Just after 6 a.m., two Ruby Throated Hummingbirds were hovering and zipping deep in my yard in the shade of Oak and Maple trees.

They weren't feeding from the feeders or flowers.

Certainly hope they stay around and feed from my garden and feeders.

Feel free to contact me via this website.

I've only had hummers hang around in August-September when migrating in fall.

Does anyone (especially on Long Island or in NY) typically see their first Hummingbirds in June?

Do they stay all summer for you? Thanks.
