I had zero confidence in finding any wild eggs or caterpillars after the two mega sized straight line wind storms which roared on through my town of Hopkins, Minnesota since Sunday, 6-11. Found three fresh eggs and a second instar after two hours searching about 101 wild plants this evening along a mile's walk. Signs of nine other plants with caterpillar chew circles were spotted, but no storm survivors were located on those. All wild ones were found on common milkweed. One lone plant had the week old cat inside of its blue berry sized unopened still green bloom buds clusters and the eggs were in a small grove of milkweed under very thick woods by a marsh, on the underside of the bottom most leaves of their plants in chest high marsh grass.
