Finally saw the first monarch of the year for this area! No picture available as she was out of range of my phone when I saw her alight onto the top of one of my A. syriaca and lay 1 egg! This is the earliest observation of any adult much less on laying eggs since I started actively monitoring them. Only yesterday, Father's Day I made a first observation of two larva as well!
