6 pm 21°c mostly sunny & light to moderate southerly wind. Observed as I pulled into my driveway a male monarch nectaring on Common Milkweed blossoms in our small garden (about 20 mw plants) near the road. Nice to come home to.
He nectared for a few minutes then took flight across the road & settled on thistle blossoms.
I recently released 5 females so I hope he finds one of them!!
