Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/25/2017

Number: 1

"I saw my first Monarch here in Halifax (actually at Roaches Pond in Spryfield, west side of the Northwest Arm) today. No photo, it was moving quickly. It could've been male or female by behaviour: I watched it fly north along the trail and it twice dipped down to investigate something...could've been a female looking for milkweeds or a male attracted by Hobomok or Arctic skippers!

It's the first Monarch I've seen here in town since 2012..."
