While travelling along King's Highway 3 we were observing the beautiful mature Common Milkweed patches in full flower. In the space of five minutes we saw 2 adults in said Milkweed. Kudos to the Ministry of Transportation for Ontario as they have allowed these natural buffers to thrive along all the highway corridors under their jurisdiction. First sighting at 17:15. Partly sunny, humid and hot 27C. Two Monarchs for Ben's birthday!
