We saw a butterfly depositing eggs June 19 and 20 in our purposely planted milkweed beds adjacent to our deck. On Friday, June 30 we first saw chewed leaves and quickly found 12 caterpillars. I posted several photos on my facebook page Stephanie Hazen.
I put fine mesh pop up laundry hampers over the plants to protect the caterpillars. Visit my FB page to learn the story.
