My neighbor's little caterpillar whom I'm taking care of and who is 20(?) days old is still on a hunger strike. He looks healthy and appears to be a 4th instar but is quite small (he has saddle shoes). Sometimes he makes sounds like he's eating but the leaves show no sign of it. He doesn't seem to know what to do and spends most of his day hiding and pretending to eat. I've never seen this before.
