Female monarch ( older/worn) feeding on Common milkweed in garden patch. Milkweed is in full bloom and she fed for twenty minutes on the flowers. Then she visited many milkweed plants leaves and acted as if she was ovipositing but I carefully checked many of the leaves she visited afterwards and found no eggs.
First sighting this early in the past ten years!
