These are captive eggs which I witnessed being laid on 07/02/2107. 5 days to hatching. Now devouring milkweed. Doubled size in 8 hours today. Have passed the love of the Monarch on to my Grand daughter. She will have many Monarchs to view this year. While painting at he parents house this week I witnessed Mrs. Monarch filling he back yard with eggs. She is going to flip when I show her tomorrow.
