I saw a very faded female monarch in the garden. She flew close to me and started feeding on butterly weed then she moved to the coneflowers. She inspected many common milkweed in the garden, landed on a couple as if to lay an egg but did not. I followed her around checking the milkweed she landed on but found not a single egg.
